Dear Brad,
Everything’s fine here. The house seems emptier without you around. How we miss all that loud music you used to play! Just kidding. Anyway, Stella is still here to make sure we don’t get too much peace and quiet.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying college so far. I’m not surprised to hear that the cafeteria food isn’t that great; it wasn’t any better when I was in college. Anyway, how could it be better than your dad’s cooking (or mine)? The only thing that worried me a bit in your letter was your comment about going out with friends on weekends. Keep in mind that drinking alcohol is illegal at your age. Don’t get into any trouble. Also, don’t have so much fun that you forget to study!
Love,
Mom
