Sorry for the delayed reply. I apologize for the delay in returning your money. There have been some complications. The company I have been doing business with suddenly went bankrupt, taking my investment with it. As a result, I have no cash on hand to pay you back.
I appreciate your offer to let me pay you in installments. However, I must ask you to give me a little bit more time. If you give me till the end of March, I’ll be able to return the entire principal to you with the interest I promised as well. Thank you for your understanding.
