Dear Mom and Dad,
I’m finally through with all my midterm exams. I can’t say that I did as well as I hoped I would, but I didn’t do too bad, either. At least I passed all of them. I hope I can do even better on my finals.
Otherwise everything is going well. I’ve gone to a couple of football games over the past few weeks. Our team won only one game. They’re not really good, but it’s still fun to watch them play. I haven’t gone out as much in the past month because of all the tests. Don’t worry, Mom. I’m staying away from alcohol, except for a beer or two now and then.
By the way, do you think you could send me a little extra spending money? US$100 isn’t really enough.

亲爱的爸妈：
我终于很顺利的通过了期中考。我不能说我考得和我期待的一样好，但也不至于太差。至少，都考及格了。我希望我可以在期末考时表现得更好。
其它方面也都满顺利的。我在过去几个礼拜中去看了几场足球赛。我们的队伍仅赢了一场球赛。他们并非很好的球员，但看他们打球仍蛮有趣。因为这些考试的缘故，我在过去这一个月已没那么常出去玩了。别担心了，老妈。我现在除了偶尔喝一、两杯啤酒以外是不碰酒的。
顺便一提，您们可以寄一点零用钱给我吗？一百块美金实在不太够。
