OK, so you’re one of those people who’s ready and willing to put in some serious exercise effort. That’s great, but be realistic. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither were your thigh muscles. If the only exercise you’ve had lately is putting a tape in the VCR, don’t expect to run a marathon tomorrow. For starters, take it slowly.
Do what you can and stop when you’re tired or if it hurts. This may mean taking an aerobic class for two minutes or walking for an hour, depending on your level of fitness.
